The method used to produce the red passito is the same as the Sciacchetrà, the bunches of grapes are left to dry for about a month and then pressed.
Black berried grapes are used, mainly cannaiolo and Sangiovese.
Intense ruby red color, with hints of wild berries, licorice and caramel.
